Welcome to OFFERCentre
The farm initially covering 28 acres bought in 1984 by Most Rev. Dr. Felix Alaba Job, now Emeritus Archbishop of Ibadan Archdiocese, was meant to be a training ground for youths. However, this vision could not materialise for various reasons. It was the posting of Rev Fr Macarius Olatunji to the Parish of St. Anthony, Iwo in February 2001 that gave pep to the vision. A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine turned Priest, his knowledge of Agriculture and his commitment couple with the support of the Emeritus Archbishop and the incumbent, Most Rev Gabriel Ojeleke Abegunrin, has given birth to a Centre of excellence in Agriculture, Tourism, ICT and entrepreneurial development. This has impacted a lot of lives and still counting.
The Foundation has seen expansion over the years, and now sits on 40.5 acres of land. It is approved by the National Board for Technical Education and the Federal Ministry of Education as an Innovative Enterprise Institute that awards National Innovative Diploma (NID) and National Vocational Certificate (NVC) to deserving trainees and students in Agriculture as well as Hospitality and Tourism. The training arm of the Foundation is OFFERCentre Institute of Agriculture. The Institute in July 2020 got the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria to run as an Enterprenueral Development Institute (EDI) and facilitate the AGSMEIS loan for SMEs and MSMEs through NIRSAL Microfinance Bank. The Centre is collaborating with notable organisations like the University of Ibadan, IAR&T, Bowen University, IITA etc as well as in partnership with MOBIL, TOTAL, NETCO, DCC (Delegation Catholique pour la Cooperation in France), SBB in the Netherlands for development.
